Class Overview
At Small World Learning Center, preschoolers have many opportunities to develop their social and intellectual skills through play, discovery, and positive interactions. We focus on social and physical development within a loving Christian environment. All preschool-age children enrolled at the SWLC between the hours of 8:30-11:30 a.m. will be part of the Preschool or Pre-K a.m. class during the school year (August-June). Potty-trained 4-year-olds may join Pre-K for the morning class.
The preschool curriculum is rich with variety and fun experiences that combine learning fundamental skills with play, seasonal themes, and Bible stories. Your child will also have many opportunities to develop friendships with their peers and with a God who loves them.
Preschool is offered four days a week (MTWTH) or two days a week (MW or TTH), August through June.
Preschoolers will rotate through the following activities each day:
- Interactive playtime
- Interactive story time
- Meal time/snack time
- Individualized learning
- Sensory exploration (art/music/science/cooking/etc.)
- Nap time (sleep/rest/quiet play according to child’s need)
- Outdoor play (or in multi-purpose room if inclement weather)
- Free play
- Circle activities (songs, group games, stories)
- Crafts
- Nature or Bible story DVD

What The Parents Say
“As first-time parents, we were apprehensive about sending our three-month-old son to daycare, but after meeting the staff at Small World Learning Center and touring the facility, we felt very comfortable about leaving our baby there. They really helped ease our transition back to work after maternity leave with peace of mind that our son was in good hands. I loved being able to see him during my lunch break to nurse or just visit. We love SWLC and our son does too!”
Erica Jesberger
“SWLC is the loving, thoughtful, learning environment we’ve always wanted for our son. We are so happy to be a part of it!”
Miriam Fierro
“What I appreciate about SWLC: The teachers really work hard to put my son first. The small class size is ideal for preschoolers. Healthy food and snacks and a Christian environment. Family nights make the school feel like a small family.”
